Day 124 - 7/3/14

The guys have started on the external cladding, which is starting to make it feel like a real house.  The bricks were also delivered today.

Day 123 - 6/3/14

A lot happened today.  The house got 'wrapped' downstairs which gives us a good feel as to how it looks enclosed.

We also had Climatrol out onsite putting in the indoor AC unit, along with all the ducts around the house.  Had a few issues getting them in the right spots, but they did a great job and got it all sorted.

Day 122 - 5/3/14

Lots of rubbish got removed from site today with Bobcats.  Our daughter loved watching them!

Day 118 - 1/3/14

Today was different.  My wife gave birth to a beautiful baby boy, Thomas David.

Our daughter loves her little brother already!!

Day 114 - 25/2/14

I cant believe that is was a year ago today that we got our land contracts from FKP.  It feels like this has been going on forever!!  haha

Day 113 - 24/2/14

We got through a monster lot of cabling over the last few days.  Hundreds of Cat 6 cables, twin & earth and other AV cables.

Day 103 - 14/2/14

Glass... lots of glass.  All the windows were delivered, and the started putting them in today.  Very exciting!

Day 98 - 9/2/14

I think Emma and I have decided on our carpet today.

We are likely to go with the SmartStrand Silk Classic from Harvey Norman (the only suppliers).

Day 96 - 7/2/14

We have a roof!!!!  That's right, finally it feels like a real house with our Shale Grey Colorbond roof being installed today.

Gutters are all complete now, but we will have to have a gutter down the front wall of the house in the middle, as we can simply not put it anywhere else due to a bunch of issues.

Oh well.

Day 93 - 4/2/14

Gutters and fascias are all going on today, and we have had to change out oven and stove, as Electrolux are not longer making the ones we were.  What a pain!!

Day 92 - 3/2/14

Had our SS come onsite today and lookover the following issues:

• Office window is too low for the desk we are installing, and they need to fix it
• Look at the trusses for the aircon
• Look at the projector lift install
• Decided to re-do the master cavity slider to resolve the plasma mounting issues. 

All roof trusses are now on (Garage and alfresco were not on until today), except for a bit around the back that the truss guys forgot to make.  Oops.

Day 88 - 30/1/14

Sent the projector lift specs through today so they can start to look at moving the joists to accommodate this. 

We have also made our first official variation, and changed the window in the master bedroom over the bed head from being a fixed window to an awning, as we have discovered the direction of the breeze is different than first thought.  

Day 84 - 26/1/14

Well, the roof is pretty much complete now, and waiting for the Colourbond.

We have had some big issues over the last week or so, and we are working through them.

These include:

• No provision for the large Aircon Unit in the roof.  So Engineers are now reworking the trusses, or we may have to redesign the roof... not good.
• The cavity slider in the master bedroom WIR has been put in the wrong way, so we now have no where to hang the plasma.  Looking at options
• A joist runs right through the laundry chute
• A joist runs through where the projector lift is meant to go
• There is so little roof cavity space, that once the aircon is installed with all the ducting and droppers, there is not much point in a manhole, as you will not be able to move anywhere.  Note to self for next time, make the roof higher.
